About Oil Painting Studies
Creating museum quality works of art takes skill and passion. As a result of today’s technology, there are many ways to reproduce paintings. The most common being printed versions digitally produced on paper or on canvas, often embellished with paint over the existing print.
Technically, printed reproductions by definition lack the life of a hand painted oil painting. None reproduce the quality and beauty of an actual oil painting and are rarely likely to be the exact size required.
When asked to re-create an original painting, diligent research is done on the artist, his biography, his technique, the medium, and whether oil or acrylic. Other examples of the artist's work are also reviewed. I test for color, brush stroke and texture and finally I create another “original”, and no less important to the exact size you want. Nothing can compare to the beauty that is reflected in the re-creation of an “original” oil painting except of course the original itself.
Is there a special oil painting you’ve always admired? Do you have a favorite artist? What is your taste? Modern? Art Deco? Pop Art? Oriental? Whatever, the choice is yours. For more information about having your own original oil painting, call Bernie Pincus today at (561) 988-8005! Below are just two examples with the original for comparison. Please visit my portfolio and browse through the examples of my work. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed pain
